Learning lessons from the past to create a safer, better future
On Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD)-27 January – we remember the millions of people killed in the Holocaust, under Nazi Persecution and in the subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur and challenge hatred and persecution in the UK today.
Our next event will be The Annual Santa Dash on Friday 9th December 2016. This takes place at Woodbank Park in Offerton at 1pm and will start from Stockport Harriers Clubhouse where our dashing Santas will begin with a circuit around the track then make a 2 mile dash to the finish! We hope to have around 70 Santa’s running this year, why not join us for the fun on the day?
SETA stand proved to be very popular with many young people visiting and enquiring about the process of starting a career in engineering. This type of an apprenticeship is appealing to very talented and ambitious young people who appreciate the high pay, job security and great possibilities this varied sector offers.
Each year SETA (Stockport Engineering Training Association) awards an annual prize to the best performing apprentice in each of the technical areas of apprenticeship training. Richard won a fiercely competitive Fitting Section Award.
This year’s Open Day was a resounding success with over 200 potential Apprentices visiting our Learning and Skills Academy in Stockport. SETA is one of the leading Engineering Apprenticeship providers in the North West and has been helping young people start their engineering careers since 1966.
Budding local engineers are being offered an insight into an exciting future engineering career as Stockport based SETA Learning & Skills Academy opens its doors for would-be apprentices to find out more.

This year SETA, housed on Whitehall Industrial Site, is celebrating 50 years of providing technical and safety training to the public and private sectors, both in the UK and overseas.
